Default please help!!! LSX noob needs cam help

i am doing a 6.0 lq9 swap into a 98 suburban and i want to change the cam but not the converter. what would be the best/biggest cam for the stock 6.0 without having ptv issues and not needing a bigger converter?

looking for more torque is the big thing with hp gains second and a nice semi rough idle third.

A 224 cam will fit your needs quite well. If you want a semi rough idle go with the 112 LSA and try to get the idle as low as you can with out drivability issues.

I wouldn't worry about the HP at all in a heavy suburban, especially since you are retaining the stock converter. Also, a semi rough idle that will be happy with a stock converter is somewhat of a pipe dream. Anything with more than a noticeable lope is going to have a tough time idling in gear without some help.

I'd suggest a custom cam to best meet your needs. A Comp 210/218 .595/.590 110+0 on XFI lobes would make excellent power across the board, with an emphasis down low.
