Pinning crank
I have a few questions
Im about to pin my crank.. the tool im renting is the type u use with the bolt removed- pulley installed...
1. What exactly am I trying to do when im drilling a hole? Where exactly is the hole at on the crank? Pics?
2. How deep to get the hole?
3. Where Do I get the pin?

Go to the Magnacharger web site, they have instructions for installing the C5 Corvette Magnacharger in pdf format. The first step in the process is pinning the crank. They have a lot of photo's in the instructions. Also, they tell you to drop the front cradle 1/2". That is not necessary.
Ive seen thast, They however do not Show a detailed picture as to exactly WHAT they did.
I was hopeing to see a picture as to where exactly the hole was drilled..
Is it directly inbetween the crank and the pulley?

There are two types. One type, the one I believe you have, has a fixture that goes on the end of the crank snout once the bolt is out and you drill endwise into the crank. The drill is half in the crank, half in the pulley and you tap the pins in from the end. The other type, made by ATI, requires removal of the pulley and the pin is drilled from the side so that the pin sticks up and out from the crank snout. You then need a pulley with a keyway milled in it. Take a look at this.
