Changing alternator
get it up in the air, and get at it from underneath. there is a plastic splash guard under there that if removed might make things easier. dont look like it would be to awful hard to change.
easy job, no worries ^^^^ not sure wtf that was about, yes the alt is in the engine so to speak, dont be an *** and be literal about it if your thinking this should be in the external section.
Mine is a bit more difficult than most due to the fact that I have a BeCool radiator that pushes the fan shroud that much closer to the engine. I actually have to remove the fan shroud to get it out, but the shroud easily drops out from underneath the car.
The easiest way I've found is to actually remove the alternator and the bracket all as one piece. Once you have the alternator bolts out, the bracket is only one more bolt, and makes it MUCH easier to get everything out. The biggest bitch is getting at the nut that holds the wire in place and the one back alternator bolt.
Also, don't forget to disconnect the one weatherpack connector that comes in from the top...the little exciter wire is tiny and breaks easily.
