small nick in the top of my piston???
I missed a shift a few weeks back and bent a couple of valves and pushrods. I pulled the head off last night and I have a small dent in a couple of pistons. The biggest in now bigger than half inch (about 1/4 the intake valve size). How safe is it to put my heads back on and not do any thing with the pistons now? I do use N2O from time to time, but always do a atap log when I spray. Thanks all.

I know exactly how you feel...
What's worse, it that I botched more than one (and it was my own stupid fault). Here's my thread where many came to my aid in helping me fix the gouges on the pistons. Read it to the end, there are many different ways to do this.

If the nick is small enough, it is possible that nothing bad can happen, but it is a huge risk to take. Our pistons are not super strong. Not only that, any imperfection in the piston face is asking for heat spots, which could cause detonation, and/or premature engine failure.
