to the original poster. do you ever find a solution to this problem? I know its an old thread but there are so many threads related to this same exact problem. I even had this same problem right after I did my heads/cam/exhaust swap. I ended up switching to a heavier conventional oil and noise is about 90% gone now. So I am happy with it.

Nope, I ended up buying another set of LS7 lifters and replacing the driver side lifters (where I heard the noise, I left my passenger side lifters alone) and it fixed the issue. Did that about a year and a half ago and haven't heard it since.

Mine started about 4 days ago. Have about 2k on my Cam Swap. Just pulled the passenger side rockers off and didn't find any problems and that's where the noise is coming from. Maybe lifters?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcluVLKsyxg
