need more info on this. Any '02 F-bodies out there have an LS6 block/LS6 Heads from the factory? I also found in a search that the LS1 springs are not colored, is that correct? And that the LS6 factory springs are Green?? Dark green perhaps??
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

ls6 spring color varies over the years, 01's are blue and they come with the HC kit. 02's are green, yellow, and i think i've seen orange.

we already have it
Well when we saw that we wondered, so my husband pulled the VIN at work and the only service this car had done under warranty was a power window motor and I just got the carfax on it and it shows vehicle serviced, once.
Next thing to check is the cam

If its an LS6 motor it has to have been installed as an aftermarket motor; as mentioned previously a crate motor or an insurance company or owner located a used motor to swap into it after the original died or just for an upgrade. No camaro came from the factory with an LS6. Some camaros have LS6 blocks in 01-02 though, without the other LS6 internals or heads. A very good motor though and a great catch!!

Well Gm could have messed up and let a few LS6 motors sneek out. Ford and other manufactures have all had Good mishaps like this. Some of the T-type and GN had better Turbos from the factory and such.
Try this on. Very rare. Only 7 made like it, and my buddy has the car to prove it. A '96 Cougar with a cobra motor. His Mom bought it new and just kept driving it until it had an intake leak. The mechanics at the dealer were trying forever to tell her that that was the wrong motor for the car and they had to swap it out for $5000.00
So she called my buddy (scott) and told him what the dealer told her. She was like it has this plastic intake. We were both thinking she ment a cover or something. Turns out it was the Cobra intake. Pulled the VIN and found out 6 others were mistakingly made like this. Only 4 left. Pretty cool when a cougar ***** up a mustang.

I am going to see if I can get lucky and track down the orginal owner of the vehicle...besides checking this board, anyone else have a way to track someone down?? Just want to see if the person can give me some info on this.
