Default My time to shine!!!!

Recently ran into about 12 grand, and definitly needing some mods on pretty much a stock motor, with very loud exhaust. Wanting to spend about 8 to 10 grand on motor work to gain maximum horse power!!!! Any help would be greatly apreciated... Need lil help keeping up with all the new ls technology out there.

Buy a forged shortblock...skip nitrous...and go forced induction!!!! If had it my way i'd go twin turbo in a heartbeat!!! For 10g's i think you'll be able to accomplish that!!! Goodluck with what ever route you go!!!

i thought about getting a shortblock for it, but want to use the motor in it... 20k on a 2000 model. Motor came outta 00 vette when i blew my stock motor running a gsx 750 on the freeway!!!

I'd say upgrade your drivetrain/suspension/ perhaps even cooling, then spend whatever is left on the engine. No point on buying a 10 k motor and having stock drivetrain and suspension.

If he's got it like that, **** it!
I'd start right off buying a 9". Then getting the forged motor.

make sure you have a strong rear, trans and clutch. i would go with a d1 on a 347

I would at least upgrade the suspension and get a nice stall if its an auto.

Buy a core 6.2L,Put in forged internals and supercharge it.Then use the remaining money to pay for your speeding tickets.

do arp rod bolts ls6 oil pump a tsp head and cam package if auto get a stall and tranny cooler ifm6 get a good clutch....add in labor and tuning along with a 12 bjolt and your money will be spent and you will have a bitch of a car....

I would buy a 9" rear and just put the bolt on's with a big H/C setup. Put the rest into something smart like your house lol
