I second BilliumSS on the Edit write man, I know this might take you outta the loop for a few months but that will give me time to buy edit. I have been learnign on here, and saving articles on hardcopy just for hte day the Edit comes to my house!

Also I noticed that you mentioned in the write-up to have a few valve keepers (locks) on hand just incase you drop them. Anyways I didn't see a part number so I thought I would post it here :

Valve Keeper GMpart# (99-02) : 10166345

Also the part numbers for the seal kit (atleast this is what the PDF parts manual states) differs for 99-01 and just an 02.

99-01 Exhaust (14.4mm incl 8 seals) : 12457652
2002 Exhaust (22.8mm incl 8 seals) : 12482062

99-01 Intake (Incl 8 seals) : 12533586
2002 Intake (Incl 8 seals) : 12482063

Nice job jmX.

When are you gonna do a write up for removing the engine?

Zero2Sixty, thanks for the part #'s. However, on the seals...if somebody is replacing the seats the 02 seals wont work I beleive. The new late model seals have a seat built in, so the seals for 01 and earlier will have to work in order to use the aftermarket seat. I've honestly never seen the "new" ones so my experience in that is vague. The keeper part # is good...I was actually looking for that today to add it

Dug, I'll do a writeup for engine removal just as soon as somebody gets me an engine

Cat3/Billumss, I do have an LS1edit article, but its on my hard drive and probably won't be posted or distributed. I'm no tuning guru and I dont have the cash to spend on the dyno or buy a wideband. I could maybe do a basics article to show how to do the easy stuff, but ls1edit is pretty simple for that stuff anyway.

Cannibal, thanks dude.

well, the C5 is a bigger job, but somethign jmX is intimately familiar with. You may have to wait awhile though... after what, 7 cams? he seems happy with the one he has. *I* think it shakes the car a little too much, but its not my car

The C5 version should be ready in 7 days or so. The F-body article will be "converted" to a Y-body article so it won't take as long as this one took to write.
