wat cam w/ these mods? wat valve springs?
i have spent hours upon hours looking for the right cam for my car and i still dont know wat the hell i want! my car is my daily driver but i also do a lot of highway racing and go to the strip as much as i can. i dont plan on doing heads.... just doing cam, valve springs, oil pump, timing chain, push rods and maybe harland sharp rockers. i want a very aggressive sounding cam with a VERY choppy, fast pace, rythemic idle. my current mods are in my signature but i will be getting a 4.11 moser 9" soon (before the cam). i think i will need a cam that builds more top end hp and tq because of the 4.11 rear gears...right? i was looking for ideas on wat would be a good cam and valve springs for me. also i have notice that people dont put new lifters in LS motors when they do cam swaps. why, are the stock ones strong enough to hold?
i know that this is a ls2 in the video but i think that this is the most wicked sounding car i have ever heard. i want a cam with choppy, fast pace, rythemic idle like this. i want a cam that sounds as close to this as possible. all i know about this cam is its from lingenfelter. i tried to find the specs on it but sadly the man that built this goat has past on.

check out ls1sounds.com, there are a bunch of cam clips there you can check out. Also, most people run stock rocker arms, they seem to work the best. If you want you can have Harlan Sharp rebuild them for you, so you don't have to worry about them spiting out their needle bearings some time down the line.
