If you have a blue stripe comp spring set it was shipped from the factory as a defective part.
What? The blue stripe insures that the springs are the new batch and I think you'll have a hard time finding anyone with a "blue stripe' failure. In fact we took the ones off of Jason99TA's heads that were on there for quite a while with our TR230 cam and many passes over a 7000rpms. When tested they were still fine. I'm not sure what your vendetta is aganist Comp but that is the only 1.25" spring we use and to date we haven't had a single failure. I would rather trust a company like Comp then some off brand imported from who knows where spring. Just my own opinion though.

Really? ...I heard the blue stripe ones were the bad batch...
...I would play it safe and avoid all Comp springs....that way you know you won;t run into a bad batch....I heard there are inventories of unsold bad springs from the bad batch that have not been sold yet....apparently, they have not been officially recalled .....they are a ticking time bomb....
My advice - STAY AWAY from COMP springs!

I have almost 14 months and about 16000 miles on my pre-bluestripe 918's and they seem to be holding up just fine with my little T1 cam.
