Talking Planned list for 450RWHP

I'm deployed right now so I'm just trying to get my heads/cam setup straight and plan ahead. I will have all the bolt ons and a good tune right when I get back. Still debating on this cam or having Pat G hook me up.

- "AFR" 205cc Heads Milled .024 w/62cc/11.34-1 CR on 93 Octane
- "COMP CAMS" 228/230 .588/.591 114+1 LSA
- LS7 Lifters
- Hardened Chromoly Push rods
- Ported LS6 Oil Pump
- LS2 Timing Chain
- "ARP" Bolts/Studs where it counts
- Cometic .040 Head Gasket

Anything else? Comments or suggestions are welcome.

Right now I have...

-1 3/4 KOOKS headers into a 3'' collector into the TSP 3'' X-pipe with Dynomax Bullets dumped. lid, bellows, stock LS6 intake, MSD plugs, NGK TR-55's, Ported stock TB (not yet installed), ASP Under Drive Pulley (not yet Intsalled) and then it'll be Dyno tuned.

Thanks,
Pipe

i think you'll be hard pressed to make that without going bigger on the cam or a FAST intake.

my guess with that cam would be 430rwhp...but it will be a fantastic street car.

step up to just over 230 on both intake and exhaust, and you should be good.

I would get a higher lift cam or some 1.8 rockers, 1.8 rockers should leave your lift with this specs:

.588/1.7*1.8=.622
.591/1.7*1.8=.625

I would modify duration and lsa is perfect for a daily drive car

God bless you for your service.

From what you'll read here, I think 450 is very attainable with those heads, all supporting bolt ons, and a 22x cam with 600 lift or less.

I dunno plenty of M6 guys are seeing over 400rwhp cam-only, say TR 230/224. I'm sure he can gain another 40-50rwhp from great flowing heads, ported TB and UD pulley. He may have to settle with 446.7rwhp LOL

ported FAST 90mm intake and underdrive pulley should get you damn close if not more.

Its a custom cam from Comp... I obtained the specs from another member on this board. He has 450 at the wheel with this set up. I'm just tweeking it some.

My car see's 75% street and 25% drag strip time.

I planned on the 90/ported 90 later on after the initial build.... just trying to offset some of the cost up front.

As good as KOOKS are and as well as they flow there can't be that big of a gain between KOOKS and LG.

Would my compression ratio be fine on this setup?

Thanks for your your info so far guys...

I love it, I had the spec 3 before my h/c and love this one much better. I just wish my tranny would hold up. I'm sending the tranny to tick performance for there stage 3 upgrade. Also if u don't have, you've prob heard this many times, get a rear end. Driving every day with 450rwhp is very fun, but the ten bolt doesn't agree.

I agree with you there... just been putting the rear end off for right now. Its a weekend car so it won't get a lot of abuse. I plan on a Moser 9'' and maybe a Dana 60.

OK I'm starten to just roll with Vengences VRX4 Cam. Like noted above from another poster.

Yeah I was kinda itchy with what heads to go with but I think I'm going to stick with the AFR's.
