just remember all an ls1 needs is 12 psi on idle real psi not what the guages show..and about 30 on the redline side..im sure youll be ok..

So I start it this morning to go to work and it jumps up to over 60 psi, then I pull out and realize I have a flat tire.

I just cant win the last few days.

Mobil 1 is notorious for dropping to a 20 weight after getting to 100C, maybe a combination of it breaking down at that time and the WOT run lead to you coincidently noticing it.

My oil pressure always read a little low with Mobil 1 5w30. My engine also drank the stuff too. 1 quart per 1000 miles.

Try jumping to Mobil 0w40, acts like how a 30 weight should. Also Penzoil Platinum or GC 0w30 if you can find it.

Woah, I've heard quite different! atleast 30-40 hot idle is what I've heard!

Doubtful, I get the car hot all the time and run WOT often when hot already, I never had a PSI drop.

To me it definitely sounds like your pump. Id replace it if it gets any worse.

I dunno, ill replace the sending unit soon today probably then go from there. If its still reading low ill do the pump next weekend.
