Which heads with an MS3? I have a 98 Z28 and it's an M6. The mods right now are a lid, longtubes, duals with bullets, and 4.10s. I am planning on doing a heads and cam swap in a couple of months when I save up the money. At the time of the swap I will also be doing the timing chain, pushrods, oil pump, and pp throttle body and LS6 intake until I save up for a FAST. I am pretty set on getting the MS3 cam but haven't decided on which heads would be best yet. I have been looking at the PRC Stage 1 LS6 heads and their 5.3 heads. I don't have the $2,500 to lay down for AFRs. I am looking to make at least 450rwhp. So my queston is what heads do you think you be best for my goals.

X2, If you order your PRC heads through TSP, tell Jon, John, Trevor, whoever, that they're the MS3 cam and you dont wanna fly cut so they can set the valve clearance for you.

It looks like the 5.3s would reach my goal of at least 450rwhp, but what about the LS6s? Has anyone had any experience with these and would they make more or less hp than the 5.3s?

Well both PRC Heads are great stg 2.5 5.3 OR LS6 Stg 2.5 you cant go wrong with either
I have a friend gained 35rwhp WITH PRC STG 1 LS6 Heads so stg 2.5 LS6 Will gain alot.
You dont need to flycut with either of those heads with MS3 just dont mill them.
Those heads are awesome great price and power I've ordered more than 10sets from TSP.

Roll the 5.3's bro, they have consistantly made good power with the MS3. I think you have to flycut if you went with the stg 2.5 LS6's. Ive got the MS3 with 2.5 5.3's, knocked down 475 rwhp with a fast 90mm set up.

The MS3 with the 5.3 Stage 2.5s put down some bad-*** numbers, i have yet to see a car with that set-up running a 90/90 thats put down below 450rwhp. You can't go wrong with TSP, their prices are very affordable.
