Default H&C swap this weekend, Do I need a new water pump?

Like title says, Car only has 38,000 miles on it and I am replaceing the oil pump and timeing chain. Do I need to do the water pump as well? Thanks All and sorry if this has been beat to death before, I didn't see anything on it.

I wouldn't unless it is leaking or not cooling the motor properly. They are not that difficult to swap out compared to the other parts you are changing when it fails.

not unless it's not working. if it is working it should be just fine.

I would not worry about it at all. Unless its leaking as mentioned.

Ya no issues with it as of now (Knock on wood). I'll just keep it. I have spent enough money over the last 2 months. LOL!!!

Ya know I didn't think I would on my build, but a couple days after my swap my stocker started weeping & had to be replaced. Not sure if it was directly related or not, but for $150 to get a new one I'd just do it so you know its new also.

Im about to do a H/C swap on mine and I just go the SLP oil pump and timing chain set.... I'll probably go electric for the water pump sometime down the road... Already have over $4500 invested just in parts
