How would this motor combo work?
Kind of thinking out loud, I am assembling parts to build the following engine:
370" Motor Specs:
6.0 L Block bored .030
Stock LS1 crank (3.622 stroke)
6.125 rods (Steel "I" beam)
Forged pistons (~11-11.5 comp)
6.0L Stage 3 heads
2.10 1.60 valves
As far as camshaft choice, I am thinking of either big reverse split (244/236), or possibly 244/244.
What kind of numbers would something like this produce through a M6?
I am thinking 475RWHP should be attainable, no? Also, it should be able to withstand 150-200HP NOS easily, correct?
Any thoughts, ideas, or input? Thanks, Shawn

We made 460RWHP through a 12 bolt and 4.56 gears with a 346. The cam was a 242/236 solid roller and the heads were stage 2 GTP 5.3's.
Your goal of 475RWHP is easily attainable and 500RWHP isn't out of the question with a good set of heads and good tuning. I would save the big valves for a bigger bore however... Go with a 2.055".
Nitrous would not be a problem with the iron block, good rods, and good pistons.

As I have said before I am surprised this isn't
a more popular combo for a budget minded buildup?
I am at a loss as to which heads/cam to
use with the overbored iron block?
Would you mind noting why you are thinking of
the above heads/cam?
My goals are similiar to yours but with the
recent heads/cam dyno #'s from cartek and LG
it would be nice to see over 500 HP,
but we better not get greedy!!
