Default LS7 Lifter pre-load

Ok so , I have been reading the lifter failure stories lately and just to verify everything before I do my lifter swap next week, I got the LS7 lifters which are now the replacement for LS1 stock lifters from GM correct? Also what is the suggested pre-load for these lifters? I have stock length chromoly pushrods too this is ok with these lifters for a H/C pkg right?

someone posted they're .060 taller than stock ones, i think that has more to do with the failure than the preload...

So can anyone tell me will my stock length push rods going to work with these lifters and are they different or not? Is the pre load supposed to be different then the stock origional design?

I just replaced my old stock lifters with the LS7 this weekend, and no problems. All I did was soak them overnight in oil and dropped them in the next day. I am running VRX5 cam, 7.400 comp rods....working great so far!

The fact that I'm swapping out stock heads for TSP stg 2.5 5.3 heads shouldnt make a difference either should it with pushrod size and these lifters?

They take the same preload as previous stockers (otherwise they wouldn't be a direct replacement )
