Terminator Head ????'s
regorih383...
is that through a vette drivetrain?? YES
if it is than you could probably expect a little higher through an Fbody setup...probably easily 10-15 more hp and tq.
also...how much is a nitrous tune holding back your numbers compared to a non-nitrous tune? i would think a resonable amount. Not sure how much the nitrous tune is holding me back but im sure if I went N/A and put TR5 plugs instead of the TR6 No2 plugs it would pick something up
on the ports mis-matching...i've seen this discussed on several heads. but several companies...either AFR, TFS or FAST themselves did some research and found the affects of that are minimal. you can always port the intake to match...at least the sides, not so much the bottom lip (don't want to touch the heads).
TTT Youp
On a ported heads it's the walls and top of the runner that's modified. The floor is only
cleaned of casting flash. So don't sweat it. The heads flow numbers are from good port design and great cnc work. The air speed will make great torque and carry it longer.
300cfm on stock cubes technically is even more than what's needed. My heads max out at 265 to 270 cfm tops. and i have low, mid torque like crazy and it still top ends just fine. My WS6 isn't no light weight neither. Good luck with what you choose.

Thanks BlackNiteWS6!!! I'm leaning toward them and will keep everybody posted on dyno numbers and track times when it's done. I need to make up my mind on A4 to M6 swap so I can pick out a cam too.
Like Jon at Texas Speed said, these heads are generally underestimated in their potential.
They are just not popular with the masses. Could be marketing, or the general misunderstanding of smaller-runner ports/flow.
Almost every post I have seen on these heads they all produce above average Torque. Yes, at 62cc the compression is an advantage.
In my case I chose a "moderately" size cam, kept my LS6 intake, no pulley etc. 430/415, with 400TQ coming on by 3500rpm's. I'm sure if one was more interested in hitting higher top-end HP numbers, picking a cam with an higher IVC of 43-45 would give you more impressive numbers.
They are many great head choices out there, so I don't want to imply otherwise. I'll try to get a dyno curve link up in the next day or two.
I'm at a disadvantage at this altitude to post credible track times. But I'm sure at sea-level with the proper tires etc, the Torque advantage would help to produce some very respectable times.
And no I'm not a salesman for these heads, just thought I would share my results, even though I seem to be in a very small crowd of Terminator Head owners.
Hope my opinion and experience helps in your choice.
Good luck! WeathermanShawn..
I like running a smaller head with a good cam cause if i race someone with a wilder setup than mine and beat them they think i'm lying and running nitrous, or gears, or a bigger h/c setup. Thunder Racing, were i ordered my Comp. 216/220 cam, were blown away with my track times cause of my mild setup and how heavy the car is. I'm a little guy only weighing 147lbs..lol. But with everything in the car the General gave me plus 40lb SLP subframes, my car's a bit heavy. I had a guy in a 347cid Mustang with a Vortech blower with full slicks and suspension work begged me to open my hood, and pop the trunk cause i beat him twice and he swore i was running N2O. This 2 years before i added nitrous and i was on my F1's with my buddy Joe in the car and he weighed 270lbs at the time..lol. And my heads are truely a mild setup, even the little bump in the intake runner is still there..lol. I've been looking at the Terms as well cause i know what a tight runner will do even with small cams.
