That is a awsome running car. That car sure backs up any of your claims. Ofcourse Ive never heard anyone say you inflated your #`s. Its nice to see a car with times to match the dyno slips. Keep up the great work.I already have one of your cams and I actually called the other day about steping up a few sizes.Maby ill call back and ask abou that solid roller setup.

I'd just love to see one of the big HP claiming sponsors guarantee that a customer's car would make the power they claim + or - 10 hp. If they would do that, I'd buy in a heartbeat.

we might not be running NHRA stockers but our cam profiles are getting closer to theirs within reason of course

Quit internet/dyno racing and bring all these cars to the track. Brian(MADMAN) made and offer that I see none jumping on. Seems like a good idea to me.
Like MADMAN said earlier and I believe MOST people understand, "dynos are a tool and only that".
My car is a dyno pig. Doesn't even make 390rwhp, yet ran 11.53 @117.xx mph in a 3675lb car through a 12bolt and a TH400. Not the fastest out there but IMO, damn good for a sub 400rwhp heavy *** car.

Since I was there yesterday I'll just say that no one dynoed yesterday but Cartek's cars were running the #s. One of the Vette's was running 126 MPH. That's pretty impressive. BTW... the cars were driven down from NJ not trailered.

After reading 150+ posts, the one that seems to have a real good idea is MADMAN.
He has put down a solid, constant, platform on which all tests needed to answer these questions can be made. My humble question is why haven't the main players in this discussion even responded to the offer???
Not Lou nor Paul. But it seems to me that this would be THE best way to compare the combos on a level playing field. Wouldn't everyone be interested in this test, or am I just way off??

I know Madman has a Carb on his car now. I will be willing to work out something with him to get our solid rolller 346 in his chassis.
Don't let it be said that I am not willing to do the deal with him. I do not own the cam and head engines so I cannot offer my customers engines for this test.
But I do own my solid roller 346 engine to be completed within 3 to 4 weeks. I would put it in the drag chassis that we are building but that will take a while, so I would be willing to work something out with Madman.
If he is reading this, I can be reached at
972-272-7753, or I will call him myself.
Oh, and after I do this, I expect all of you non believers to also doubt EVERY package that comes along other than LG's package. I expect you to flame and deride every hp claim until they put an engine in Madman's car. No engine claim can be considered legitimate until it goes in Madman's car. Dynos mean nothing, from now on,

Thunder Racing just finished a stock bore 346 cid engine package for me 2 months ago. With the setup I have, I am averaging almost 20 MPG at interstate speeds, running 165-180 water temp all day long, pushed 447 RWHP on a Mustang 1,000 HP Eddy Current Dyno and ran an 11.5 ET at 118.4 MPH with street tires smoking all the way through 1st gear (1.8 60 foot) through a Yank converter and 3.73's out back and a race weight of nearly 3,775 lbs.
I'll take this deal all day long and the potential is much greater with soon to come slicks and a little weight reduction.

Fenris- am I missing something here?? The only X2 package car that LGM owns is sitting in a pile of snow these days; LGM's customers will take their X2 cars to the strip when (and if) they damn well feel like it.
What is Lou going to tell them when they come to pick up their cars, "Well, your bill is $10k, but we'll knock off $___ as soon as you take it to the strip and bring us back a time slip,"?? Be serious. It has been said time and again that Louis will run his car when he gets the chance, but he can't be expected to interrupt his studies just to make you folks happy. The fact of the matter is that Lou can't make his customers take their cars to the strip. If they choose to do so and choose to post up about it, then we'll see what we'll see. Until then, what do you expect the LG team to do?? Sneak their customer's cars to Ennis??

Ferris, didn't you see the posts where LGM was asked to take an LGM engine and put it in Madman's car???
You guys will never be satisfied. When I was asked to do something, i agreed, then you still flame me?????
TCR, We have a plain wrapper G5 cam and head car that runs 11.06 @ 122mph all day long. The car only dynos at 408 with the converter unlocked. how many times does LGM have to prove something?
My son's car, before the G5X-2 cam with only 418rwhp on his M6 did 11.7 @ 121.2 This car is set up for road racing. But he still did this time on his FIRST EVER trip to the drag strip. His car now has 463rwhp. I do not want him to drag race it, but I might myself just for kicks.
So what do we have to prove, and how many times do we have to prove it for it to be legitimate?????????
I suggested our 346 cu in solid cam engine in Madmans car to compare apples to apples against the much hailed Thunder racing car of Jason. Why should we have to prove anything to anybody? We don't.
When we posted the time from our 11.06 G5 head and cam car, this board blasted LGM and said that the times are not real or possible. Then when we post dyno numbers, this forum says that it is not real or possible
So what is real or possible???
122mph with our cam and head car is very real and our cars do it. Wether you guys believe it seems to be NOT REAL or POSSIBLE
Later,

Tim I was there as well.. I saw one pass at 126mph. ONE! I want to know if Mike(Stealth) was there? That 126mph pass was backed up with dozens of 123mph runs.. Carteks cars came and represented well.. Being able to drive from Sarasota to New Jersey is what a H/C ls1/ls6 is suppose to be able to do.. I have drove to Toledo, Ohio, Buffalo, Ny, and to Syracuse in my car.. This summer I am driving up to Syracuse again.. I want to know the raceweights of the Cartek cars.. I would also like to know which one ran the 126mph..

Vince,
Doesn't Stealth have a 408 cu in? (at 126)
The 123's must have been the Cam and head cars.
And no, we weren't there with any customer cars. We will be out at some of the other events this year.
This is not intended to inflame anyone.
And Vince, My son Louis drove his car with the G5X-2 cam in it to Purdue, Indiana from Dallas, and got 25 mpg. The G5X-2 is a very drivable package. We were just not able to get away for a weekend.
