Default cam with tune adding headers + intake-- retune?

I currently have an MTI G1 (228/232 .588/575) cam and tune to match.

Rest of car is stock 97 C5 LS1

I'm adding CAI, LS6 Intake, LS6 heads (stock), and longtubes.

The question is do I need a retune afterwards to keep from running lean or rich?

I realize that I would probably benefit HP wise to retune, and that is in the plans, just want to know how soon to budget for it

i'm by no means an expert but it depends on your A/F ratio. if your currently at say 13:1 you'll probably lean out a little from the longtubes , just a guess would be to 13.3:1 or 13.5:1 while not horrible you'd be giving up a little horse power. the web people like A/F between 12.6:1 up to 13:1. good luck! i base this on my mail tune was 13.8:1 then a real tuner brought me down to 13.1:1 which i gained 13 rwhp. (retuned / still a little conservative).

But I'm ok to drive it to the tuner, or do I need to haul it there?

FWIW I think I was around 12.5 AF before adding this.
