Default Upgrades to 1998 Firebird Formula

Hello, I have a 1998 stock automatic, Firebird Formula and just bought an exhaust but looking for further up grades to eventually reach a peak horsepower of 600 normally aspirated. Any suggestions welcomed?

texas-speed ms3 cam kit, afr 225 heads, pacesetter lts, fast 90/90 intake manifold/tb and some true duals. should put you around 500-525rwhp

and i believe you mean "naturally aspirated".

Not gonna get 600rwhp from any H/C car, but the MS3 combo mentioned above should be good for around 500. Mayeb with a shot on it 600.

600rwhp is a little hard to hit n/a a good 427 combo will get you pretty close.

Yea I agree...600 HP naturally aspirated wouldn't be to street friendly either. Your best bet would be to go forced induction if you want 600 HP. Your cheapest way is of course nitrous and you really cant get anymore streetable than nitrous since its only on when your foot is on.

How long do you want this 600 hp N/A motor to run? My suggestion if your looking for over 500 Hp is to start with a forged bottom end. Your rod bolts are a weak point in that year ls1 and will not withstand 600hp. Your block is not the prefered block for a build up either I have heard. I could be wrong but the oil gallys where changed i believe in 00. It doesnt seem logical if your going for that type of hp to use your setup In my honest opinion. Someone with more info will chime in.
