Port matching....LS6 intake to 5.3/ LS1 or 6 heads...

Does port matching the intake side of the cylinder head to the intake manifold help much? Has anyone checked to see how much the ports are off?

Mine were off about 1.5mm at the bottom and along the sides of the port(SDPC CNC LPE LS6 heads -milled .0550").Used a dremel and even them up .Flared them about 1" into the intake.FWIW.
