I don't have any personal experience, but my gut instinct tells me that every pass would be on borrowed time.
Making some assumptions (rod bolts get upgraded, nitrous is set up correctly, and tuning is spot-on), I think it'd live for a little while; but if it ever got into detonation while you were on the spray, things would come apart in a hurry.

The LS1 is a tough motor, but it isn't THAT strong. Your rod bolts would definately need to be upgraded. If it were me I would get new rods and pistons while I'm at it for piece of mind. It will be much more expensive in the end if you don't spare a little expense right now. Going fast and running your motor on a tight budget don't go well together.
