I don't want to be the one who says it, but sometimes people collapse lifters on a severe over-rev as well. I'm sure there are little things that we're overlooking though. Check your compression and leakdown on all cylinders. Are you only getting p0300, or are you getting cylinder specific codes (p0301-p0308)?

that was my guess as well..

Is the car still making noise?

My car has some type of tapping coming form the center of the motor.. Runs fine no codes good oil pressure just has a good tick.. Sounds like a lifter, although a few friends think its a pushrod. I am about to pull the top half of my car apart to change lifters springs heads ect..

Yes it is only a P0300 now. I have not gotten any codes for specific cylinder misfires. I am gonna do a compression test and leakdown test tonight. I will let you guys know how it goes. How do you tell it is a collapsed lifter? When I hit the rev limiter, it was pretty hard. The car dropped the RPM's to like 900 before it shifter to 2nd gear.

It was making noise before I changed the pushrods but now I don't hear anything.

I have my rev limiter set at 7000 and shift at 6400. The only reaon is cuz when I spray, I am not taking any chances on hitting the rev limiter with spray. I took my heads of to do a swap yesterday, and the stock pushrods look great. So do you think it was the pushrod or the way you re-bolted the rockers that stopped that ticking?

since it was still acting up on you after you put your new plugs in you may have fouled them out again, see how they look. you may need a few new ones.
