Default Radiator Fluid spilling over through reservoir tube; temps are a little higher; ideas

1. burns oil, but that’s been the norm since the new motor
2. literally going trough a ton of radiator fluid; it boils over through the overflow tube and temps start to increase; once stopped at a light in aggressively increases (ie pull over) now this does not start to happen until after about 20-30 mins of driving.
3. this is normal driving, not WOT or spray
4. no coolant smell through exhaust and no white smoke
5. oil is not milky and oil analysis from Blackstone came back clean
6. replaced cap and flushed with no change
7. no signs of any leaks around the heads or anywhere else

any ideas?
I’m thinking perhaps t-stat, pump, radiator, blown head gasket

Thanks!

I would try the t-stat first. If you had a blown head gasket you should have water in the oil.

+1 on the T-stat.. also.. are your fans coming on ok and at the correct temp ?

Check to see if ther is a air pocket in the system.. try bleding the system or refilling it from the Top Radiator hose.

My .02

Had a smiliar problem in my old ss...

Only at WOT.

Would have to add fluid every week. Not much usually big slurpie cup.

Never overheated.

One night was out playing with it hard. Really hard.

Started to run warm. Pulled over checked under the hood. Had water spray around the passenger side by the overflow.

Got it home. Finally gave up and replaced the head gaskets and problem gone.

This was after W/P, Radiator, T-Stat.

Car was a H/C Full bolt on I think what happen is when we put the heads on we didnt let the gaskets heat cycle. (new mustang at a light wanted a beatn on the test drive after head install)

Good luck with it. Mine drove me nuts.

thanks guys; i'll try the trial and error method and work "backwards" until solved. Hopefully it's not the head gasket otherwise she's sittin out a 3rd year again

Is it possible the head gaskets are on backwards?
