Are they going to charge you to replace the cam in the new engine?
I would have a hard time believing that a technician would do that Job (properly) for no more labor than Warranty would pay him.On top of that the dealer would get in serious trouble with GM if they took apart a brand new motor on the general's coin.

I don't find it all that hard to believe.....
when the engine is out of the car (being rebuilt so it does not have piston slap), it does not take any time at all to swap a cam, timing chain, and adjust dot-to-dot.....besides....all the techs I have ever know were really helpful if you were willing to slip a $50 in there pocket....

YES THEY ARE CHARGING ME TO INSTALL CAM ON MY CAR AND I DONT MIND PAYING CAUSE IT SAVES ME ALOT OF TIME AND $$$. AND ILL ALSO BE GETTING MY OEM 4:10 GEARS FROM GM WIT THEM INSTALLING IT.

I was just curious.I work at a pretty easy going dealership and we might do something like that.
