Default HP Tuners and T-rex

Next week I am ordering my trex cam along with a butt load of valvetrain upgrades. I will be using Hp Tuners to tune my car. I was wondering if anybody here has used HPT with their Trex cam. If so, I would appreciate some advice to get me started with the tune. Thanks again.

Oh boy, you are in for a sharp learning curve. First off you can use HPT with any combo you can think of.

Second, if you have never tuned a car before and have no idea where to start you picked a bad cam to start your tuning experience with.

Believe me.....I'm not doing this one alone. My friend is an engine GOD. He has always done it the old school way ie...checking spark plugs for A/F. I was simply looking at the computer aspect of it all. He has been building cars and modding bikes for about 20 years now and is very well versed in fuel injection and overall engine theory. Hell, I can barely talk to the guy without him getting into flow dynamics and flame travel jargin.....it makes my head hurt.

yeah ok. I dont care how well you tune it, it wont drive, idle, or sound like a stock cammed car.

It might drive well, but not like stock.
