What do I need in addition to a crate motor. I am trying to figure out how to compare buying a crate engine to a entire used drop out. I have never purchased a crate engine before. I have done about 30 minutes of searching and haven't found a clear answer. What will I need in addition to the crate motor? I know that I will need an intake, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, coil packs, headers, and an ecu. Of course a clutch. What other basics am I over looking (water pump, starter, alternator?), then what little odds and ends? Sorry for the newbie questions but I can't find a straight forward answer. I'm just getting into the LS1 world. Graduating up to American muscle. I would love to see a spread sheet from someone who has done a swap. Thanks, George

i mean...is it going in a 69 camaro or a 240SX?
also depends on what kind of "crate motor" you're getting. some of them come with the intake, tb and ECM, some don't have any of that.
