Default Oil consumption issue

Well I recently got the car running after about a year and changed over to penzoil platnum 5w-30 and only have about 200 miles on the change. Since the last time i had the car stock I have installed pacesetter LT's and ORY(no cats) and ls6 intake. I did not upgrade to the ls6 pcv nor am I going to dremel the block. I basically completely deleted the pcv systsem and just plugged the valve cover with 5/16 rubber plugs. The car has no leaks, doesnt smoke and the low oil light didnt come on i can just tell on the stick as i check it frequently that I need to add some. I do not have a catch can also just plugged things off. Do you guys have any idea what is going on and if a catch can would solve the issue?

I wouldn't get rid of the PCV system. If I were you I would buy a revextreme catchcan and a pcv valve, run the catchcan between the valve cover line and the pcv valve. Your set

You plugged it off completely? No filter or anything? I don't know much about the pvc system on a car, but that doesn't sound good. It seems like the engine would need to breathe.

I just installed my catch can and you could see slight puddling of oil in the PCV vacuum lines. I'm sure I will see reduced oil consumption but can't tell you how much for a month or two. Catch can = nice cheap mod
+1 on RevXtreme's kit

your engine can't breath, if you cap off the PCV then you need to put breathers on so it can breath- both valve covers need one.

or you can put the system back in- put in a updated PCV valve and put a catch can on.

you have no place where the water vapor, oil and other things floating around in the oil/air to go.
