Lets not get into comparing tracks, etc... You have no clue where I ran that 11.6 and I might turn it into an 11.2 at your track. But, we will never know. Im not driving to your Virgina to find out.
Your 11.7 run was ran with no cam and no heads and a crappy trans tune??

your car sounds good.....ok cam is a vhp 66 220/224 on a 114......shgould idle smooth but has some bit of+ overlap and gives it the fast chop....I like it pulls hard to 6500 and car still gets 20mpg.....and yes i gained 4.5 mph in higher d/a over the stock cam...

Just giving you a hrad time...

Everyone that I know, that has went with a ~224ish cam has upgraded to at least a 228 and bigger.. Each person has their own opinon on whats streetable, sounds good, etc... So, congrats and glad you like it.
There are guys on here that with a nice set of heads have put down over 400 - 430 at the wheels. So, it can be done with the right combo.
PS.. If I lived near ya, I would run against ya.

Wait, so your actually saying your 220/224 is far enough from a 224/224 to warrant this thread? The two cams could be off enough in the grind that they were actually identical. I'm not going to argue with you because everyone has a different opinion.
I personally would not go under a tr228. I only know one person with a smaller cam than that and he wants to change it. His is a 224/228 114LSA I think and yeah, it idles pretty close to stock. You can tell its cammed, but if you had never heard an LS1 you wouldn't know. Like I said, its all in what you want.
I DO know that I would not bother myself with a cam swap for 4.5mph in the 1/4. Again, my opinion.

I get so tired of sein people bitch about what somebody else likes. Run what you want to and let everybody else run what they want. I wouldn't run anything under a 228 but if you want to knock yourself out. Don't give a ****, and I'm not sure why you do.

A buddy of mine had a LPE GT2-3 in his car and has switched it out for an MS3 and loves it. Its all about your goals and the goals for the car. I'm glad your happy with your cam and I don't think anyone in here is doubting that small cams can make power. Its just not most peoples cup of tea you might say.
