Default still have blue smoke

Just did a cam swap in my 02 camaro. I had blue smoke comming out of my tailpipes. I have great oil pressure. I took my springs back off and my valve seals were not seated so I gave them all a little tap with a hammer and they were seated good I'm sure of it. So I reassembled everything. I go to start it back up and then it's still putting out blue smoke. Is this normal for a lil while until the seals seat or seal themselves. This has got me beat. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but my car has 101,000 and I run mobil 1 5w 30 fully synthetic.

How long have you run it? If you were sucking oil past the seals you may need a few miles for it all to burn off. What did the plugs look like? When is it smoking - idle, acceleration, deceleration?

Pretty normal to see some smoke without cats on the car to clean the exhaust. I would try thicker oil tho. M1 5W30 is junk.

i had the same exact problem. one company told me that i needed a whole new motor b/c of the blue smoke but didnt run a compression test or valve leak test. i got the car out of there right away and took it to speed inc. called me within 20min and said my o2s were bad and it has never done it since.
