Oil burn
Is it normal for a 60k stock ls1 to burn oil and I live in texas were the humidity is always 80% or higher is it smoking or is it condinsation ,also ive been using mobil 1 10\30 ive looked for the german castrol because i heard it would slow oil burn but cant find .

These cars consume oil for a number of reasons, the most common being the PCV system. The updated PCV valve would be the first thing I try, then a catch can. Before you do that, take your lid, MAF and air bridge off, you should have access to the Throttle-Body, open the blade and check the back of the blade. If its wet with oil your are aspirating oil via you PCV system.

Never had low oil light just change oil light which is oil life system, just put new pcv valve on about 2 months ago, i believe there is a biuld up on the throttle body flap on the inside. is it true about changing oil could stop the loss and if i remember correctly i never had this problem when i was running val 10\30 conventional.
