Default Oil Pressure Drop, Vibration, Etc.

Just went to the track and on my second run car lost some power, oil pressure dropped from normal 40 at idle to 15 at idle, and now there is vibration in engine above 2k rpm's, and it idles very high. Went from 900 to about 1500. There is no knocks in the engine. I drove it home with no changes. I kept it below 2000 rpms and it seems fine. Get much above that and get vibrations. At stops most time would idle high and sometimes drop back to 900. I decided to drive it home figuring I was already screwed and it could not get much worse.

Any ideas or starting points to look?

Thanks

oil pressure fluctuation is never a good thing. drain your oil and look for clues. Pop the valve covers since thats easy as well, though i doubt its valvetrain related. Hard to say what it could be, but it dosnt sound like its gonna be an easy fix man. Best of luck to you.

Just finished popping the valve covers and its all intact. Have a bad feeling the motors about to come out. Not what I wanted. Just got it back from tuner yesterday after new cam and intake.

drain the oil, and if you have the energy to do so, pull the pulley and pop teh front cover. maybe the oil pump or timing set is starting to loosen up and work itself out.
