Default How to get 52cc chambers

Hey guys, I need a head that has a 52cc or 53cc at the most chamber. Is there any cost effective way to get this? It would take about .60 milling to get what I want out of a 5.3 head and I want to try to not run into any intake issue. From what I can tell my best option would be too find some older patriot heads that have a welded chamber to 59ccs the take off about .045. Do I have anymore options with out going to an aftermarket casting?

Thanks

I had my Livernois Stage 2 heads ground down to 52cc, I believe that it took .054 to get them there but my FAST 90 sits nicely on there with no issues at all.

Milling that much from a stock casting will reduce flow an negate any compression benefit. The valves will become shrouded.

mightymouse has a set of heads that are like 57cc I think. It gets you closer, they are All Pro's. They are in the for sale section, you can mill them further to get your 53

I had to mill them from where I scuffed them where I blew my motor. But they are still getting me over 400 horse through a 4000 stall and slicks on a DynoJet dyno and decent times, but I am still looking for the best set of heads for a srock cube motor. What do you all suggest?

(Not trying to hi-jack your thread but I am looking for higher compression and the best flow too!)

They are 67ccs, but thanks for the reply.

It looks like the only option other than some ETs is welding.

I am running a set of Port/Polished 5.3 heads milled .018" with the bigger car valves & Patriot Gold duals in them. Using a stock FelPro heads gasket replacement w/copper spray & GM head bolts. Not a single issue.
