cam question?
sup guys, i dont know if this question has been asked already but what cam would you perfer, the tsp 224/224 114lsa or the thunderacing 224/224 114lsa?..i have kooks 1 3/4 longtubes, electric cut out, ported and polishes tb, and slp lid, on my 02 ss camaro if that helps too..looking for a smog legal cam only..what do you think?

ok thanks..so i heard that these cam will pass smog, is this true? and which one would be more lopey and more power..i know these cams wont really lope too. and which cam would people perfer that sounds great, passes smog, and preforms good too..thanks guys

ok thanks man..the car is a daily driven car so a bigger cam will get me into more trouble with the cops and smog..i love a choppy big cam but does anyone here have longtubes and with either one of these cams, and does it lope at all?

I've got the TR224, I went with it because the lift is just a bit less and a it has proporietary lobe profile that together makes it easier on the valve train and it's still a proven cam. I believe the TSP lift and it's XE-R lobe profile will be harder on the valvetrain meaning more maintenance and less DD suitability. As far as HP, some see more out of the TR some see more out of the TSP, not sure if anyone has just taken one out and put the other in to do a side-by-side comparison. I'm also very happy with the powere numbers , see below...keep in mind that's with stock unported MAF, TB, and waterpump.
Oh and 125,000 miles on the clock - times were on Proxes T1S tires (true street) w/ a 2.1 60 foot time.
