Default Hot cam set off misfire code at idle?

I installed a hot cam in my c5 and it runs great and does not throw any code all day as long as your driving the car. super smooth with no missing or hessitation. The car has not been tuned yet and has somewhat of a rough idle though. If i let it sit and run for 2-3 min, it throws a p0300 code which is missfire. I changed plugs and plug wires and the coils are brand new. Any ideas? Could it just be the cam setting it off making the engine think it is a misfire when its just the nature of the cam?

Its just in the nature of the cam, I wouldn't worry about it.

False misfire reporting at idle is very common for a lopey cam.

Your tuner should set your minimum misfire detection rpm to a value higher than your idle speed to eliminate that.
