My tuner had mine set to 6700 but I thought that was too high so I had him lower it to 6400 and now I hit it EVERY time I get on it but I know im not hurting anything, I am going to have him raise it another 100 rpm to 6500 and leave it there even tho my hp curve keeps climbing.

Spun a bearing on dyno after H/C. If you drive the car everyday and rely on it for transportation to and from work/school, I would not recommend that anyone change the stock rev limiter on these cars without switching out rod bolts and replacing bearings. Cheap insurence. Just my .02.
BTW, I know that plenty do it w/o issue, but it is not fun to have to rebuild stock shortblock.

I have my limiter set at 7K and have clipped it many a time. Most shifts take place at 6600-6800. Tho' I must admit my motor is coming out at the end of the week to install some ARP rod bolts i've tempted fate enough. After the ARP's i'll bump to 7100

Me too - I would rather bust their *** on the tree than abuse my stuff. You don't have sponsors? The 10K is your money? Then don't worry about making the one time best ever ET so you can post it on the best ever State ET board.
I'de rather be know as the guy that ran great last week and **** he is back again this week in the same car.
