Default Need instructions oil Vette Oil Pump install.

Ok, I've only worked on F-Body's. Just wondering if there will be anything totally different with the Vette? Does anyone have any install guides for the oil pump? Just wondering. Thanks in advance.

..Except on a vette, you dont have to drop the oil pan at all, but...and this is a big one...you have to pull the power steering rack up.

I dont have a full writeup on a vette oil pump swap, but if you use the C5 heads/cam swap writeup I did, that'll get you to the point where the timing cover is off and then you can swap the oil pump just like on an F-body.

The Oil pump on a Y-body is gravy. After the rack has been removed its all down hill. The bolt retaining the pump to the pickup tube is in the front instead of the rear, like it's sister F-body. A 10 mm Gear Wrench works best. Good luck.
