dont go too big on the exh. side. dont go all the way out to the gasket. I just kinda opened up both intake and exh. a little bit. not sure how you would go about matching the ports since the seals arent right on the edge of the ports like a typical motor. the seals are well outside the actual ports.

is there a special technique to port matching? or should i just squish a peice of paper in between the heads and the intake and go from there?

all thats goin to show you is where the gasket/seals press on the head surface. like I said, its not at the edges of the port like old school engines. there is a certain technique for doin it, involves using a straight edge to measure and transfer the port edges from one to the other, but I dont know exactly how it works. I havent been able to find it anywhere either. seen it in a magazine before and it made perfect sense to me at the time, but I cant remember now how the hell it worked. sorry. thats why all I did was made sure to just open up the intake port a little at the intake opening in the head, and didnt open the exh. side too much at all. just a little wider and taller at the top.
