no n2o numbers. sorry. and the motor numbers were disappointing to say the least. but it is what it is. through the exhaust it made 495/ 459 and cutout open it made 502/ 465. ill post graphs later. i was honestly expecting 510-520 and 480-490 torque but u dont always get what u want

You do have an S60 rear, and I am not sure what your exhaust is, but pretty crazy the cutout only gained you 7rwhp. The graph will help tell more of the story tho. Plus there will be more in it after a bit more break in.

Do you think the cam is too big for your heads? Not enough head for big top end numbers and too much cam for good low end tq? Just a thought. The 1 3/4" headers could be holding you back as well. Plus like some one said the motor only has about 500 miles on it. Most LS engines don't make full power till 2,000 plus miles. I am sure your track numbers will tell the real story with your set up. I got delayed two weeks on my ride so I won't be able to compare numbers with you for a month or so.

If you grabbed 7 from open exhaust and have 1 3/4, go to 1 7/8 header, IMO when ur ready for changes, i would sell those heads, go cnc l92s ($1200. LOL) w a torquer cam 22x/24x and you should be at 550+. TFS 215s are sick heads but for those cubes....

im sure its a lot of things. i reused some stuff i already had. i reused my exhaust set up, the s60 of course (but its been said to only cost about 3-4% over a 10 bolt), 215 heads for a 3.9 bore, twin disck mcleod with 26lb steel flywheel, and that cam was just an experimental thing. regardless im not taking it back apart or spending any more money on it. the motor has just under 300 miles on it but i really dont see that as being a factor right now. the most ive seen people gain with a few thousand miles is 10-15 hp and thats not going to set the earth on fire.

Well, I will let you know how mine turns out. I am running the 235's with more compression and less cam. I have the 1 3/4" LG Pro's right now but I am trying to get some AR 1 7/8's with no catt's. Like I have said in previous posts, it will give us both a good comparison and information on which way to make changes if need be. I think with more miles and lighter synthetic oil and if you add in the 3-4% for the S60 you are with in your goal range of 520/500.

I bet your track times will be killer. Don't worry about dyno numbers.

Agreed !

Great car! Wonderful set up!

I think I met you at the GTO Track Rental a bit back at Bradenton Motorsports Park. I asked you about your springs in your car or something along those lines. (I doubt you remeber me)

Good to see how the car is doing. Your car is an exceptionally nice SLP SS !

Well I can understand your disappointment. I also understand you not wanting to throw anymore money at it to chase a dyno number. I am in the same boat as you.

My 402 shorty will be using all the stuff from my 346. Got a larger intake and tb courtesy of Ron at Vengeance, and better flowing LG Big 3 rear exhaust courtesy of LGM. However my cam may be holding me back, and my heads definately will hurt peak numbers, but under the curve she should be a monster.

As you said it is what it is. Hopefully with a few more breakin miles she picks up a bit more hp/tq and I am sure with you behind the wheel the track times will be BAD *** !!!

Staying tuned for n2o numbers.

Your numbers are a little low....But don't waste the money to be the dyno queen....My 408 make 531rwhp and 507 rwtq on a dynojet.....507rwhp and 488 rwtq on a mustang 1750...
Trickflow 225's, 1 7/8 kooks with 3'' mandrell bend custom duels with xr1's..

That is where you are losing it......I have a 9'' and m6 like you...

But dude, hats off, one of the cleanest ss I've seen.....

here are the graphs. dyno was having some issues so it breaks up a couple times. first one was the second to last pull-the final one had a spike in it, and the 2nd one was my hero run a little earlier with the cutout open and the engine was a bit cooler.

How does it run? Does it blow smoke at all? That Dana is eating some power. there is a thread where a guy swaps out to a 9" and records the loss on a dyno, it was almost 20hp and tq.

That sounds about right. Tommy and I had almost the same set up before his motor blew- bolt on's and the T2 and he would be about 20-25 less on the dyno and i have a 12 bolt. His rear will definatly not break though.

Yep they eat a little power but they (s60 or 9") dont break. If your only out for dyno numbers then you keep the 10 bolt.
