383 vs 408
If your stock engine is 6.0 I say go with 408ci you cant go wrong with more CI
Heating never been a problem even here (overseas very hot) with good H/C the car
should be 450rwhp+ with A4.
Its a matter of money really. No need for any engine to over heat if properly cooled.
Bang for the buck is hard to say, it's really tied to your budget.
Peronally I dont think you can beat a 408 these days for bang for the buck and driveabilty. I'm biased, of course, but I chose the 408 for a reason.
Re-building your 347 isnt a bad way to go, you wont have the power levels of a 408 but most likely not the cost either. A medium tempered 408 is an upper performing 347 as far as power goes. Not replacement for displacement.
