ICL = Intake Center Line.... It's probably the most important aspect of installing a cam, next to choosing the cam itself. It will determine the valve timing events which will determine where in the power band your cam contributes the most. You were mentioning the difference between the advertised 1600rpm low rpm point and the actual point where the cam comes in. It doesn't sound like a problem for you, but it is a deviation between what the cam is advertised to do and your observation. Knowing your ICL would help to correlate the specs of your cam with your comments.

The 228R camshaft is a really good cam. We've seen it gain 6rwhp over a 224R camshaft with back to back testing. For those extra 6rwhp you really have very little change in idle or driveability! Both camshafts really work well in small camshaft applications.

yea its that or just a 228/228, im trying to find a dyno sheet on any 224/228
