Default Oil pressure Question

I just got a car with a built 383 afr heads ect. it is surpose to be new and fresh. Runs great but the oil pressure when hot is 20 but when you get on it it goes to 50-55 is this ok on these. it has all aftermarket crank rods ect only thing that is stock is the block and it is supose to have an LS-6 oil pump?

Also he told me the lifters chatter allitle because they used .250 shorter push rod would this make since and why. It also has a set of race prepped AFR heads.

Thanks Im lost on this car its my first LS-1 and I dont know right from wrong.

Car is a 2000 ss camaro

Thanks Guy

I have ~45 psi at idle with the stock pump, 55-60 during cruising, and 80 at wot. 20 psi seems a little low.

10psi per 1000rpm.

It seems low, but its been rebuilt and stroked, so the clearances have changed and wouldn't be just like stock. As long as you have 10psi per 1k rpm you'll be fine.

also i wouldn't completely trust the factory guage. mine idled at 20 and would go to 55 or so at wot. i thought my motor was on the way out. i change the sending unit and now it idle at 45 to 50 hot and goes to 80 at wot. i would either hook up a mechanical guage or change the sending unit before anything else
