I hav an 04 vette - coupe - 6 speed. When i removed the balancer there was a balance weight in one of the holes along the periphery. The service manual clearly indicates that a weight may be there and it should be put back on in the location or transfered to a new (GM) balancer and installed in the same location.


If I was going to put the balancer back on - it would be in the same location as best as I could.

I have installed a powerbond underdrive balancer and did not transfer the balance weight. I have not started the car up yet - still waiting for more parts, etc. I don't expect any problems.
