Default 99 to 02 ss ls1

im buying a 02 ls1 for my 99 ls1 because i blew my piston rings and i have 136000 on it. the 02 has 54000 on it. what would i need to change for the swap and i bought a tsp torquer v2 cam kit will it still work with the 02?

The only difference between the two engines is the emissions system. The 01-02 cars did not have an egr system. Other than that it's the same as your 99.

02 injectors are larger than the 99's, which affects your tune, not an issue if you are planning on tuning it or having it tuned.

I thought 98's had 28 lber's and 99-02 had 26 lbers?

No, 1998,2001,2002 = 28lbs, 1999 & 2000 = 26lbs.
