I highly doubt its even going to be a statewide thing. Most noise ordinances are going to be a town by town thing. As long as the vehilce has a complete and in good working order exhaust ( pipes, cats, and muffler), you shouldn't get it in a state equipment violation.
For example the ordinance in my town is any noise that can be heard 50 ft from the source. Tons of latitude in that ordinance, but is more geared toward music. Engine noise from a car and motorcycle have had very little problems here, just keep your music down!!!!!!
