#4 misfire/oily plug

#4 misfire/oily plug hey guys... i just got done with a cam swap this weekend, drove the car home and it was fine. then went to drive it again the next morning, and after driving for a little bit, i get a misfire #4/flashing SES.
i have already changed the plugs out, swaped coil packs and plug wires with no change. checked the other plugs and all the others were looking fine.
btw, the patriot extreme spring kit installed with only brown valve seals, 232/236 .595/.601 114+2 cam, and YT ultralites went in.
could a valve seal that isnt fully seated cause a misfire with a oily plug? it wasnt fouled, just had oil on it...

no i didnt tune it yet... im tryin to get this misfire problem fixed first, or find out what is wrong with the engine.
i did cam only...i didnt think stock heads need it? and it is only the #4 cyl... none of the others.

I would take off the valvecovers and check out the valve seals. You say its an oily plug, and only on the #4 so that would be the first thing i check. Not sure if that can be the cause of the oily plug, but its a start good luck.

ya im gonna pull the valve cover and springs on that cyl during lunch tomorrow. i sure hope that is my problem.... b/c if its not then the only next thing i can think of is that the rings have some blow by and need replaced.

well pulled the valve covers off and low and behold one of the bolts that holds down the YT rockers i got broke... and then other one was loose. so that explains the rough idle and what misfires. so lesson learned... locktite all the rocker arm bolts just in case they want to come loose and break....
