hey guys,

i have a 98 ss and the idle is erratic. the idle in both park and drive is from 700-1300 all over the place. I have replaced the throttle body, IAC and cleaned the MAf. i found one vacuum leak and fixed that. i cant find any other vacuum leaks. please help. im trying to get this fixed before ocean city hot rod weekend next week. btw i ran the car on HP tuners and everything came back fine, tps etc. any suggestions. i just changed the plugs and wires also. thanks for the help.

possibly a bad coil? Try swapping the coil from #2 with another and see if the misfire follows. Also you might have cracked the porcelin (sp) on the plug...

im thinking that the whole reason the car doesnt idle has to do with the miss or vice versa. could this problem be caused by a vacuum leak inside of the manifold or between the trhottle body and the manifold?
