Default cam queston
im not sure but on the ls1 when u put a cam in and line up the crank and the cam gears dot to dot do you have to have it at top dead center on cyl 1 or does it not matter?

If the crank dot is pointing straight up then cylinder #1 is at TDC. So when the crank and cam gears are 'dot to dot' you are good.
