Valve springs are a MUST get some good duals good to .650 Either PRC's or Patriot Duals would work great. Stock rockers are fine. You might want to upgrade to some hardend 7.4 pushrods as well.

In my opinion you should go with a different cam if your gonna put heads on the car. The reason is because it was designed to be used on stock heads. You would make alot more lower end power with a different cam with heads. Just my opinion. And also when you do your heads you may have some PTV clearance issues so becarefull with what heads you throw on there. And you will also be buying a different set of pushrods when you put the heads on so you should probably put the cam to the side and wait till you got money to do it all at once. It will save you alot of money in the end. Good luck and if you havent heard that cam its one of the best sounding cams out there.

All they were trying to say is that you didn't make a very informed decision on your cam. The Trex is a max effort cam. Really its for race cars. That cam wasn't made with streetability in mind. If you were into racing and modifying your car enough to where you would actually need to run a cam like that, then you would know that you have to change valve springs.

Have you changed out your factory gears? If not, make sure you do or you might not be happy with the cam. To get the full effect of a cam of that size you would need rear end gears of 4.10+. Not saying you can't drive it without them, but you might not be happy when another LSx powered vehicle beats you with their smaller cam.

i can see already that the trex will make a little bitch out of you and your car. do some reading, mang, there is all kinds of info about that cam and 473894792 others, supporting mods, expectations, etc etc.

i think you'd be much happier with a TraK, Torquer V.3, or a F14 High Lift. All 232-234ish with nasty lift.

imho

x2 Research is your friend. I was dead set on a Trex. After much research, im damn glad I didn't waste my money. Not saying its a bad cam, just wasn't for me. When in doubt, always remember the "7 P's"

agree. just because someone else has this cam doesn't mean it's right for you.

Make sure you have all the supporting mods go go on with it, IM, TB, intake, headers, exhaust, stall/clutch, gears.
