Will the stock thermostat housing work with a Meziere EWP?

Will the stock thermostat housing work with a Meziere EWP? Bought a Meziere EWP a while back and plan on installing it soon.
Question is, will the stock thermostat housing work with the Meziere and the required SBC thermostat?
I plan to order the appropriate 160 degree, SBC thermostat, but wanted to make sure I don't need a new thermostat housing too.
Also, does the spring side go toward the pump, or the housing.
Search didn't benefit me.
